Baby Cricut Cutter Fun

I've been told elephants are gender neutral.
I hope all my friends are right!

I have fallen deeply in love with my Cricut cutter and its ability to cut anything!  My new project has been cutting pieces of felt to make many adorable things.  Now, the Cricut can't actually cut through the felt, however, I place a piece of heat n' bond onto the back and the Cricut cuts out the shape onto that and then I use my amazing Ginger scissors to finish the job.  After ironing the cute shapes onto the desired surface, you just stitch around the edges with embroidery floss and voila! you have an adorable item to awe and amaze those you give it to...at least I hope so...The pictures show the two baby gifts I made today.

I'm hoping this works with either a pair of pink pants or a pair of
blue pants depending on  the gender of the baby.

I loved this rhino and couldn't help making this outfit
for my friend who is due in August.

Theater Decorations

This is our living room wall with the ticket plaque in place.  Taylor and I would still like to have a wall hanging on the left, but I think the room is starting to come together pretty well!

Movie Ticket

I've been working on this sign for a while now.  We got the idea from another blog, but wanted the wording a little different. I like the shape, but working with the antiquing stain was new for me and I think I got it a bit too brown.  I'm not sure about the lettering either.  Any ideas on how to make it better?

Spring has Sprung!

I've still been working on my March crafts and finally finished my spring sign!  I think it turned out pretty cute.  The vinyl had a hard time sticking to the stained wood, so I used some Mod Podge to help the letters stay on.  It left the finish a little patchy, but not too noticeable.  What do you think?

Finished Product!

March Crafts

I know I haven't posted on this blog in quite a while, but I ended up with some rare free time yesterday and crafted like crazy!  I figured I might as well post some pictures of those crafting adventures.

I've had fun making wreaths this year to match the season.  This is my new spring wreath.

Taylor and I are working on this ticket shaped board to go above the movie posters in our main room.  I've painted it and now I just have to antique it and cut out the vinyl for it.

I wanted to decorate for spring and got an idea for  some boards with spring sayings on them.  I love this cherry colored stain I used.

These are the shapes I will be adding to my boards with the sayings "March comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb" and "April showers bring May flowers"  I can't wait to see how it turns out!
